According to FEE, Fördergesellschaft Erneuerbare Energien e. V., ReGaWatt GmbH is the leader in Germany with four plants for generating electricity and heat from wood that have been realized in Germany. Residual wood from forest management and landscape conservation can be used.

Last Wednesday saw the commissioning of the new industrial-grade wood gas cogeneration plant at the Osserhotel in Lohberg in the district of Cham.
The new combined heat and power plant was delivered to the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Munich on November 26, 2014.
At Maintal Konfitüren in Hassfurt, the micro gas turbine, which will generate almost 100 kW of electrical power, is being commissioned this week. The first electricity is being fed into the grid today in trial operation. After TÜV approval, the plant is expected to be in automatic operation by the end of the week.
