Looking back one year after the ceremonial blessing of the iKWK plant: The Gammel Engineering team worked closely with the Bad Reichenhall public utility company to develop the concept for the innovative energy center for the pioneering district heating project and planned the entire technology. This flagship project was made possible thanks to iKWK federal funding. The result is a heating network with a route length of approx. 7.5 km. Natural gas CHP units, groundwater heat pumps and a power-to-heat system, combined with a large heat storage tank and a peak load boiler, cover the heat demand.

There was great joy on both sides when Managing Director Max Oblinger and authorized signatory Thomas Zweier were able to present Gammel Engineering GmbH with the donation from our Christmas campaign. We are innovative and have come up with something creative for Christmas: More than half of our customers and business partners took part in our Christmas voting and voted enthusiastically!

District heating expansion is a key component of the energy transition. The demand for "clean", CO2-free heat from natural wood chips is also unbroken in Hersbruck. Together with our energy partner HEWA, Naturenergie Hersbruck has been expanding for years. A tripling of the buffer volume to compensate for peak loads in the grid by 50 cubic meters is currently being completed and commissioned. Many thanks to the companies involved and above all to our operator team at ForstServiceGmbh for the perfect handling on site.

For 25 years, our authorized signatory Dieter Lichtenberger has not only enriched our company with his expertise and acquisition skills. His open personality also ensures a good, positive atmosphere throughout the team. Dieter has significantly shaped and expanded the project development division over many years and then managed order procurement as a key account over the past 10 years. Thanks to his in-depth knowledge of the market and industry, we have never had any capacity utilization problems. Whenever there's something to celebrate or even at the legendary "Friday nightcap", Dieter is always a good mood maker and a popular conversation partner. 25 years have welded us together - a wonderful friendship over many years that we hope will never end. Dear Dieter, we look forward to many more years with you!

Nothing nobler than helping! Not being able to help is the hardest thing. Not wanting to help is the most pathetic. With these words, the management of Gammel Engineering GmbH called on its business partners to vote for the recipient of this year's Christmas donation. For many years, it has been a matter close to the heart of our company family to be able to help children and people with disabilities with gifts and personal commitment.

The Naturenergie Hersbruck biomass cogeneration plant has been reliably supplied with forest chips from the region by our main shareholders for almost 20 years. These are the members of Forstservicegesellschaft Nürnberger Land mbH, a 100% FBG subsidiary. In the past, the fuel deliveries were weighed using a single-axle scale. We were "recommended" a large truck scale by the responsible calibration office. This was installed in November 2022 and then calibrated and put into operation. We look forward to the best weighing results! Many thanks to our operating team for their commitment to this construction project!

Our internal Christmas party took place on 21.12.2022. We were once again spoiled with culinary delights from the butcher Gernot Seefelder from Siegenburg. Organizationally, our Ingrid has once again left nothing to be desired! Thank you for making the party possible. As every year, the highlight was the auction, which has now become a tradition for us, where once again this year there were some rarities and beautiful gifts for sale to the highest bidder. A big thank you goes to our professional auctioneers Thomas and Martin and, of course, to all the hard-working bidders who once again donated to a good cause this year. We are delighted with the total proceeds of EUR 3600. This will be divided equally between the 4 institutions of our donation voting campaign: - Barmherzige Brüder Region Oberpfalz, Reichenbach - Cabrini-Haus Offenstetten - Förderverein für Seltene Erkrankungen e.V. Regensburg - Trifami Down Syndrome Support Group Waldmünchen Due to their long-standing close relationship with Cabrini-Haus Offenstetten, the Gammel family has also decided to double their donation. After this wonderful, entertaining evening, we are all the more looking forward to seeing you again after the Christmas vacations and to the new 2023 financial year! Traditionally, we celebrated our "official Christmas party" together with our partners with a wonderful menu at Restaurant Schwögler, Bad Abbach. Many thanks also to the very attentive service, which rounded off the "feel-good package".

Helping together is what the Gammel Engineering Family does every year, especially before Christmas. Co-determination is part of our company's DNA, even when it comes to giving. This year, we are asking our customers and business partners to help distribute our Christmas donation in a special voting campaign. In this way, many people who urgently need help will be reached.

St. Nicholas lived around 1,700 years ago. He was the bishop of Myra, a town on the Mediterranean coast of what is now Turkey. People in many countries around the world venerate St. Nicholas because he had a big heart for poor people and children. Our customers and business partners, as well as our friends and families, know that the Gammel Engineering family has a big heart. This is reflected not only in our annual Christmas fundraising campaign, but also in this much-loved, traditional surprise.

Between world wars and economic crises The time between the two world wars was not long - but it was all the more eventful! And not only on the world stage, but also here in Abensberg. The employees of Gammel Engineering and their families were given an understanding of the events of this period during the exciting, scenic tour of the town. This was followed by the legendary "Knacker mit Allem" at the most beautiful Christmas market in Bavaria, the Niklasmarkt in the castle garden. Home, sweet home - Abensberg, simply an experience!

On Friday, 18.11.2022, the specialist lawyer for construction and architectural law, lawyer Markus Zenetti, partner at FASP Finck & Partner Rechtsanwälte Steuerberater mbB, trained our employees. Mr. Zenetti very clearly brought our project managers up to date with the basics of construction contract law - VOB/A, VOB/B, VOB/C (short) and BGB (law on contracts for work and services). The reference to the practice of construction made the day entertaining and there was also enough time for professional and personal exchange over lunch. Many thanks for that!
