Many older people still remember exactly what they were doing on April 26, 1986: The day when a reactor in Chernobyl, then still in the Soviet Union, blew up for all to see. But even 33 years later, only a few leading politicians around the world have understood this: Nuclear power is not a peaceful, environmentally friendly source of electricity, but an ever-present danger to humans, animals and the earth. New nuclear reactors are still being built, for example in the Czech Republic.
The "Energy Network Southern Bavaria", in which 7 energy-intensive industrial companies are participating, has been launched! Our team is looking forward to an exciting collaboration and forward-looking solutions.
Ground-breaking ceremony for Stadtwerke's combined heat and power plant: new way of generating electricity and heat
The Gammel Engineering team is proud of the special engineering task following an EU-wide competition: on March 29, 2019, the official project launch for the municipal utility's innovative combined heat and power project took place in bright spring weather. Over the next few years, the regional supplier will invest around 20 million euros in the energy center with heat storage on the factory premises and in the city's district heating network.
The grand opening and blessing of the new building of the Lower Bavarian Chamber of Crafts took place in Landshut on February 21, 2019. The focus is on agricultural and construction machinery.
Gammel Engineering was present throughout the Regensburg Energy Congress on February 26 and 27, 2019
In Germany, CSU Transport Minister Andreas Scheuer declares that speed limits are "against all common sense". He has the support of a lung specialist paid for by Daimler. "Lobbyist Scheuer" (Lausitzer Rundschau) apparently believes he is doing something good for the local automotive "key industry".
2018 was the worst year in a long time for the so-called "energy transition" in Germany. All those who care about renewable and decentralized energy use agree on this. We are one of them, of course. That's why it's good that two fixed stars that rose in the energy sky near the turn of the year are spreading at least a little glimmer of hope.
Mayor Eddy Valadier and his deputies visited us on December 3, 2018 for an initial exchange of ideas on current economic issues in the respective region. We identified common interests and goals, but also discussed specific measures with Manuel Lorenz as topics for the IHK committee. Cooperation on energy efficiency would be very interesting for Gammel Engineering.
Unfortunately, Jenbacher's 20,000th gas engine is not an anniversary present either - but no one is likely to question the company's CHP experience. E&M reports on the current hurdles in the development and implementation of projects with highly efficient decentralized energy systems. Entrepreneurial thinking and strong decision-making based on our business plans are the basis for sustainable competitiveness in the dairy industry for our client. We are very pleased about the trustful cooperation in the successful CHP project.
For the member municipalities of the Berchtesgadener Land energy efficiency network, the "innovative CHP system" developed by our team on behalf of Stadtwerke Bad Reichenhall is the highlight in the region, according to coordinator Prof. Markus Brautsch from the Institute for Energy Technology IfE. This project was one of five projects in the nationwide competition to be awarded funding. A great success for the municipal utilities, the region and also for our engineers. We wish the network in the district every success and further outstanding flagship projects!
