A jury from the German Combined Heat and Power Association unanimously selected the combined heat, power and cooling plant developed and planned by Gammel Engineering for the plant of lighting manufacturer OSRAM in Eichstätt as the CHP plant of the year 2015.
At the BMW Group's Landshut site, the waste heat from the smelting plant is now fed into the plant's internal hot water network.
OSRAM GmbH has built a combined heat, power and cooling plant at its halogen lamp factory in the Upper Bavarian town of Eichstätt. The project was planned and managed by Gammel Engineering GmbH.
