Through the Gammel Family Social Fund, we aim to provide targeted assistance where support is urgently needed. The fund consists of the proceeds from our internal Christmas party, where an auction is held among our employees every year. During our regular staff meetings, we then work together to gather suggestions for potential recipients—this way, we decide as a team where the donations will go.
On October 13, 2026, we were pleased to welcome Ms. Annette Bauer, coordinator, and Ms. Anna Portner, first chairperson of the hospice association, to our office. As part of our Gammel Family Social Fund, we presented a donation of 850 euros.
The Hospice Association supports seriously ill and dying people, as well as their loved ones, during the final stages of life. At the request of the patient or their social circle, support is provided in the home, in senior living and nursing homes, in facilities for people with disabilities, in hospitals, and in inpatient hospices. The volunteer caregivers are qualified for this work and offer their support free of charge. They listen, are there when the person is not feeling well, and also provide relief for family members. Nursing tasks are not part of the association’s responsibilities.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Ms. Bauer and Ms. Portner for the personal conversation and for the tremendous dedication of the volunteers in our region.
