Gammel Engineering puts innovative "iCube" UPS storage system into operation
With iCube our energy model is complete: energy-saving devices, in-house power generation with CHP and PV, server room cooling with Adsober to use the CHP heat in summer too, power storage, mobility charging stations and optimum coordination using state-of-the-art control technology. Decentralized energy efficiency practice for us and our customers.
There are now numerous energy storage systems on the market - however, most of these do not function without interruption in the event of a power outage or cannot absorb self-generated CHP electricity (AC). With iCube, companies do not need an additional uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for important consumers such as the server room. With the iCube, energy storage and power electronics save energy costs every day instead of waiting for their emergency use without adding value.
The innovation at Gammel Engineering is the combination of UPS and storage system, so that the costs for decentralized UPS are eliminated and the building is secured. Another new feature is that the solar system and CHP units can continue to run without interruption even in the event of a power failure and increase the battery backup time or even recharge the battery in the event of a surplus.
The system is based on the latest LiIon technology, which allows a high charging capacity of the battery.
