The expansion of Arco's district heating network is progressing
The Martlstrasse road and the Arco properties were already developed in 2012. This year, Deggendorfer Straße will be developed - Thundorfer Straße will follow next year.
Christian Maier, project manager at Gammel Engineering, explains: "The Office for Rural Development is carrying out road construction measures for the municipality via a state funding program (village renewal). As part of this, Arco Clean Energy is laying the district heating pipes in the road, saving on some of the excavation work and surface restoration."
Private residents in the streets mentioned can thus be provided with a renewable heat supply at favorable conditions.
The combined power system of Arcobräu Gräfliches Brauhaus GmbH & Co KG, which is operated by Arco Clean Energy, is a modular biomass cogeneration plant. In addition to generating electricity, it can also extract CHP heat in the form of steam and hot water. All the energy levels required by the Arcobräu brewery can therefore be covered in-house with energy from the region.Arcobräu uses "home-grown" fuel with the Kombi Power System, thus reducing its dependence on fossil fuels and generating electricity from renewable energy sources. In addition, Arcobräu supplies the village with heat and assumes responsibility for the region. In contrast to gas and oil, the costs for fuel remain at home and the savings will hopefully be invested to a large extent in beer from Gräfliches Brauhaus Arco!
