A CHP unit and two peak load boilers provide the heat in the buildings; the CSSD has been converted to Thermal oil heat, supplied by two new boilers. All of the new burners can be be operated with natural gas or heating oil. A particular challenge: the new generation systems had to be integrated into the existing boiler house during ongoing operations. "We knew that Vivantes was primarily looking for an engineering company that had special experience with thermal oil Thermal oil. So we were all the more pleased that we were able to realize this project."
