In December, we reported on the start of the second construction phase at Amberg Hospital. We have now published a short video to show you the lifting process of the two CHP modules, each weighing 6 tons. Have fun!

The time has come - the CHP modules for the 2nd expansion stage of the energy center at Amberg Hospital are being delivered. After the first stage of the project, which was successfully completed in 2010, stage 2 is now beginning, which will expand the energy center with two more natural gas CHP units.

Today, November 13, our team at Audi in Neuburg celebrated the topping-out ceremony of the competence center together with other planning partners.

On November 7, 2013, the municipal council in Hengersberg unanimously decided to allow the expansion of the existing biomass cogeneration plant and pellet plant at Schwaiger's sawmill.

Arco Clean Energy GmbH is further expanding the district heating network in Moos. In addition to supplying the brewery with all the necessary energy levels, the Kombi Power System also supplies heat to properties belonging to Gräfliches Haus Arco, municipal buildings and private households.

BMW AG is expanding the aluminum foundry facilities at the Landshut site. Depending on the operating conditions, around 2.0 to 4.0 MW_th of waste heat is generated from the melting furnaces. Gammel Engineering has developed an innovative waste heat utilization concept to combine the discontinuous power supply from the waste heat flow of the melting plants and generate electricity and process cooling from it.

The Verband deutscher Biomasseheizwerke e.V. and CARMEN e.V. invited operators of biomass heating plants and combined heat and power plants to a get-together on July 26, 2013. Also present: Klaus Röhrmoser and Christan Meier from Gammel Engineering. Klaus Röhrmoser spoke about the paradigm shift in decentralized wood energy systems: Highly efficient generation of power, heat and cooling with the Kombi Power System. Christian Meier presented the wood gasifier project at Arcobräu in Moos - operating experience with the Kombi Power System.

To ensure that the technical building equipment (TGA) also lives up to the motto, special emphasis was placed on comprehensive consultation in advance. Within the group of companies, Gammel Engineering took on a leading role for the MEP planning and was commissioned as the general planner for the MEP.

The Kombi Power System at the Arco brewery produces steam! Steam is a crucial part of a brewery's production process and is required in many production steps. For example, the brewery uses steam to generate the heat required to brew beer and heat the brewing kettle, among other things.

The waste heat steam boiler at Arcobräu has been generating ''wood steam'' since this week. In the first stage of power generation, the steam is produced using hot air from the hot gas turbine. This is then primarily used as process steam for brewery operations.

It's done: On Wednesday (26.06.2013), the construction company Max Bögl generated its first own electricity with the hot gas turbine. This electricity is generated from wood chips using the Kombi Power System: Pyrolysis gas is produced by heating the wood chips. The pyrolysis gas burns absolutely cleanly. The energy generated by the combustion is used to drive the turbine. In this way, absolutely clean electricity is generated from natural biomass in accordance with the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG).
