Today, the gas turbine (approx. 1,700 kW electrical output), waste heat boiler and the large plant components are being lifted into the new energy center.
The traditional lifting ceremony was celebrated at the Wittmannsaal construction site. However, there is still a lot of work to do before the end of the year.
A jury from the German Combined Heat and Power Association unanimously selected the combined heat, power and cooling plant developed and planned by Gammel Engineering for the plant of lighting manufacturer OSRAM in Eichstätt as the CHP plant of the year 2015.
OSRAM GmbH has built a combined heat, power and cooling plant at its halogen lamp factory in the Upper Bavarian town of Eichstätt. The project was planned and managed by Gammel Engineering GmbH.
