SMP celebrates opening of Schierling plant

Gammel Engineering was commissioned to provide the engineering services for the entire technical equipment for the new production site, i.e. to plan all technical trades and ensure quality on site during the construction phase

A heartfelt thank you to our client, the SMP team, the planning partners and the contractors for their commitment and constructive collaboration!

The in-depth experience of the SMP operations managers, in particular plant manager Manuel Ötsch and his team, was also incorporated into the planning. Standards and requirements for future production facilities, including those relating to Industry 4.0, were defined and successfully implemented. The new plant is therefore the model for SMP's other current investments, e.g. in Hungary or Mexico.
